In a thrilling semi-final episode, viewers witnessed the end of Sloth and Can of Worms' journey on the hit ITV guessing game. The judges, including Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Katherine Ryan, and Mo Gilligan, made their guesses after the characters' final performance.
And here's where it gets controversial... As host Joel Dommett asked Sloth to reveal their identity, the audience was in for a shock. Under the mask was none other than Ben Fogle, the Animal Park presenter! The judges and the audience were blown away, realizing they had been fooled by his talented vocals.
Ben, 52, narrowly missed out on the grand finale, which will air next Saturday. Meanwhile, Joel announced the characters advancing to the finale, but sadly, Can of Worms was eliminated before his identity was revealed as JLS singer Marvin Humes.
Ben shared his experience, saying, "There's something liberating about being anonymous and just letting go. Singing without the mask was one of the hardest things I've done, and I've faced some big challenges!"
Marvin, 40, admitted, "Being on stage with JLS provided a sense of security. Singing solo, even with the mask, was strange but enjoyable. It was nice to do something by myself, and I fully embraced it when the mask came off."
Last week, the Red Panda character, one of TV's iconic comedians, was eliminated just before the semi-finals. The judges' decision to remove the performance followed the tragic fire at Le Constellation bar in Switzerland.
And this is the part most people miss... Red Panda finally took to the stage last month, performing Bat Out Of Hell. The judges guessed Alan Carr, but viewers correctly identified the famous comic Harry Hill. Fans were shocked, as this put an end to years of guessing Harry for different characters.
